London, 1637. 300 x 310mm. Coloured. A fine map of Lancashire, engraved by William Hole for William Camden's 'Britannia', 1607. It is decorated with an ornate title carttouche, a compass rose and pair of compasses.
The map is a reduced version of the first printed map of Lancashire, surveyed by Christopher Saxton and first published in 1577.
