Basle, Henry Petri,1628, German text edition. Woodcut, printed area 320 x 360mm. A map of Swabia, one of the ten Imperial Circles of the Holy Roman Empire. Orientated with north at the bottom, it marks Strassburg, Bamberg and Lake Constance.
This map was published in the last edition of Munster's 'Cosmographia Universalis', eighty years after the first edition, and nearly 75 years after Munster died from the Black Death.
